Aviators Ground Breaking

A new era is coming to Loeb Stadium, as the Aviators home will be replaced prior to the 2021 season with a new $17 million state of the art facility to be constructed on the same site as the current stadium.  Home plate will move to  the center field area of the current ballpark, allowing for the facility’s main entrance to be placed on the corner of Main and Wallace streets.

The new ballpark will accommodate approximately 2,500 patrons per baseball game.  Included in the new facility will be a synthetic playing surface, suites, party areas, modern concessions and restrooms, and other features that will allow the stadium to host non-baseball events.

Demolition started on the original Loeb Stadium following the conclusion of the 2019 baseball season.  Construction is slated to be completed in November of 2020, meaning the the Aviators will not play at Loeb Stadium in 2020 during construction.  The team announced that they will be playing their 2020 Prospect League season at Purdue University's Alexander Field.

American Structurepoint has offered fans a Glimpse into the Future with an overview of the new stadium project.
